Amidst the current global turmoil and rising tensions between China and the US, he, as a creator, issued a poignant cry with the scarlet-lettered work "No War": No War: Non-military! No war: No use of force! The scattered aluminum sheets in the work resemble the expanding armaments of various nations, a picture of war poised to erupt at any moment.
The flames of World War II etched their mark on the young soul of his master, Daisaku Ikeda. Convinced that "war is the greatest misfortune and tragedy," he dedicated his life to "human revolution" as the foundation of peace, and through his 40 "Peace Proposals," he outlined a blueprint of hope for the world. In today's turbulent world, with tensions escalating between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, as a creator, I express the most poignant cry through my work: No War! Non-military! No war, no violence! The scattered aluminum flakes in the work resemble the expanding armaments of various nations, a war on the verge of breaking out at any moment. The majestic "大" character in the center pays tribute to this great champion of peace, hoping to carry on his torch and ignite artistic practice that pledges peace.
